Sidekickcast Episode #9 - Something for the Ladies
We've been cock heavy for far too long, the sisters of the suffragette movement would be spinning in their horse trodden graves, so we decided to get a woman's point of view and take a look at comics with strong female leads. Your usual hosts of Dan (Marshalllaw) and Gavin (The Boneman) are joined this week by Gavin's sweet-ass girlfriend, known only as Knuckles checking out Zero Girl (her second comic ever!) by Sam Keith in Dig This! Can you guess which of the past Sidekickcast alumni turns up halfway through the show to give his point of view on our 2008 Media review? And be sure to listen out for a special X-Centric announcement.
We've got a packed Stack Attack in order to make up for all the stuff we missed during our extended Christams/New Year break covering: New Avengers #48, Incognito #1, Ultimatum #2, Magneto: Testament #4 (of 5), Batman: Cacophony #2 (of 3), Punisher: War Zone #3 (of 6), Uncanny X-Men #505, X-Men Legacy #219, X-Force #10, Gigantic #2 and Invincible Iron Man #9.
Dan's team need one more point to tie Secrets and Lies, can he make it three a piece, this could change everything!
We move onto a new era in Knowing Me, Knowing You with the Boys taking the place as Dan's new book, what were his final thoughts on FEAR Agent?
Grrl Scouts get's the Trade Talk treatment in our new trade paperback segment which splits the Sidekicks straight down the middle.
We round out the show with our relaxed lazy ass version of a 2008 Review, learn what the Sidekicks are listening to when they're not listening to the Sidekickcast. Don't forget to check out our outakes after the outro music, it's good to be back.
Sidekickcast Episode #2: The Entertainment in your Hand episode
Some said we'd never make it but here we proved them all wrong, here for your listening pleasure we present the second episode of Sidekickcast. With full quota of Sidekicks in attendance you know there's gonna be trouble.
Secret Invasion and Magneto: Testament get the final analysis in Stack Attack along with Captain Britain and MI:13 and Guardians of the Galaxy. We introduce the much anticipated X-centric Ned segment with a complete 4-11 on seminal X-Men title; God Loves, Man Kills.
The battle lines are drawn in Knowing Me, Knowing You, will Guardians of the Galaxy survive another week in Marshall's stack? Dig This! introduces Davlo, Blogger extraordinaire and this week's special guest, to Batman: The Long Halloween. Will he Dig it? Do you Dig it? Let us know. And don't forget to listen past our outro music for behind the scenes out-take gold.
