Sidekickcast Episode #22 - Hit and Run

by Gavin Jones Email

Oh Lordy! Here we go again, Dan (Marshall Law) and Gavin (The Boneman) are on their own this week with 100% no defects for an entirely Marvel free podcast. Gavin tries and fails to convince Dan that Torchwood is worth a watch whilst Dan shares his wild conspiracy theories on the moon landings much to Gavin's disgrace. We also try to stay current with some casting chatter about the geek films in production and coming soon.

In a packed but Marvel free Stack Attack we hit a preview of The Dark #1 from Markosia, Blackest Night #1, Wednesday's Comics #1-2, North 40 #1, Poe #1 and Chew #1.

With the score at 3-1 to Gavin, Dan really can't afford to drop any more points in Secrets and Lies; the comic book news quiz that everyone can play along with at home. Knowing Me, Knowing You makes a triumphant return with Dynamo 5 from Image comics and this week's Dig That! choice is something that has been gaining alot of chatter on the forums recently Red 5's Atomic Robo. Don't forget to listen past the outro music for some fun filled out-takes.

by Gavin Jones Email

Regular Sidekick hosts Dan (Marshall Law) and Gavin (The Boneman) are joined this episode by Monkeys with Machineguns artist and Sidekick for the week Stuart Tipples (Stu.art). A catch up with Stu leads to some inevitable schooling and shameless plugging of the upcoming The Magpye; the latest stunning Monkeys book coming from Markosia.

Heading up our review section Stack Attack we have Batman and Robin #2,Invincible Iron Man #15, Berserker #1, X-Men/Dark Avengers: Utopia #1, Justice League: Cry For Justice #1, Captain America Reborn #1, X-Force #16, New Avengers #54, Vikings #2 and Olympus #1.

Midway Games, Michael Jackson, Bendis, The 99 and Chew all feature in Secrets and Lies but will our Sidekicks sniff out the bogus story? Stuart comes bearing gifts in the form of A History of Violence and Grant Morrison's The Filth in an attempt to take the Sidekicks to crazy town for Dig That! Don't forget to listen past the outro music for out-take-arama.
