Stan Lee and Boom! and Paul Cornell (?!) @ SDCC

We all knew it was coming, they'd given us enough warning and I'd even commented on one of the three charcaters Stan Lee was creating for Boom! here. What I hadn't guessed was that Paul Cornell would be writing the story for the character known as Soldier Zero and I couldn't be more happy about it. I wasn't so sure about these books but now I know there will be one of them that I'll definitely be picking up. For more details on all three books and a look at the cover of Soldier Zero #1 check out the press release below:

First Look Stan Lee's New Superhero?

by Gavin Jones Email

I may be wrong (I usually am) but isn't this the first bit of artwork we have seen for Stan Lee's new superhero work that he's been doing for Boom! Studios?

To me, this looks new but then it's also bringing back memories of some kinda cartoon he did a few years back. Have I been on the crack again? You tell me. Anyway if you want to meet the legend that goes by 'The Man' and you happen to be in the downtown San Diego area then you're in luck.

Stan Lee to create Worlds first Gay Superhero? I respectfully disagree

by Gavin Jones Email

Stan 'The Man' Lee

Apparently Stan 'The Man' Lee has created the world's first gay superhero for a new US television drama. The hero in question will be named Thom Creed, a high school basketball player who hides both his super powers and sexuality from his teachers and peers. Well, I'm sorry Mr Lee, I think you're an absolute legend but I respectfully disagree. You are not creating the world's first homosexual superhero and you never will, it's already been done many times over.
