Something Silly for Sunday # 92 - Wolverine is in... [UPDATED]

by @Neon_Lynx Email

It started off as a joke, then it became self-referential, then it became the target of fan ire and now it's on the verge of eating itself... Just how many comics is Wolverine in?

From the way people go on about it (including us!), you may be surprised at the answer. Or I may just be being a little naive... I've only counted regular titles and not one-shots and/or guest appearances but click through for the answer and some cool artwork!

The Splott Division

Special thanks has to go out to my pops for this one, still rocking in Splott he put me onto this viral sitcom from the place where I did a lot of growing up and even more comic book buying.
Continue on past the jump for the first episode of The Splott Division and more!

Something Silly for Sundy #88 - Batman Street Art

by Gavin Jones Email

I honestly can't remember where I found this picture but that doesn't detract for it's beauty. It's the kind of street art that is so good it actually tricks your eyes for s second, I was honestly concerned for the fella standing on the ledge, of course I needn't have been worried with The Dynamic Duo on the case.

Holy Street Art Batman, we're actually 2-D!

If you're the artist or ethe guy in the photo or both, please get in touch either on Twitter @sidekickcast or by email sidekickcast@sidekickcomicsuk.com

My Dad's Batmobile is Better than Your Dad's Batmobile!

Never did I think the day would come when I would find something so awesome that I absolutely had to get it on the site no matter who else was running it or when it came out...I was so wrong. Thank you carinsuance.org via the mighty iFanboy. Personally I've always been partial to the penis extension on wheels from Batman: The Animated Series, which is your favourite?

Something Silly for Sunday #86 - Star Wars Beds

by Gavin Jones Email

Link: http://gizmodo.com/5537630/crazy-diy-project-three+level-imperial-walker-bunk-bed

What is it that seems to inspire people to craft a sleeping environment out of the many ships and vehicles from Star Wars? Is this some kind of disease? Did Lucas secretly interpose subliminal messages within the holy trilogy to give people the desire to develop dodgy DIY DeathStars day beds? We'll never know but we will struggle on in the attempt to find the truth, until then check out these amazing beds.

Something Silly for Sunday #85 - Flash Ahhhhaaa!

by Gavin Jones Email

Police were called out to a Hollywood bash today as chaos and violence broke out at the 30th Anniversary celebrations of 80's dayglow classic Flash Gordon. As you can see at first all was well as the movies stars Flash Gordon and Ming the Merciless met up for the first time in 30 years.

It didn't take long before the uneasy alliance was broken and once again the old enemies were at each other's throats, the flashpoint according to an onlooking Rocky Balboa was a comment Ming made about Flash's latest venture as a naked windowcleaner.

Something Silly Bad-Ass for Sunday #84 - Nemesis in Motion

by Gavin Jones Email

I was struggling for inspiration for Something Silly this week and then I saw a retweet from @mrmarkmillar linking to this motion comic version of Nemesis. It seems by nature of his retweet Mark Millar approves of what I can only assume is a Nemesis fan film and it's not hard to see why, this rocks!

Something Silly for Sunday #83 - You know when you've been TwArt'd

by Gavin Jones Email

It almost sounds like something Rude for Sunday but it should be something Awesome for Sunday, that’s Twitter art. Each week a new theme, each week a new series of pieces by a bunch of talented artists including Declan Shalvey, Evan “Doc” Shaner, and Chris Samnee (whose new Thor series I still haven’t gotten around to looking at, but I hear it looks amazing).

Anyway, Comic TwArt is my new favourite thing out there. Characters so far include Zorro, Rocketeer, Torpedo, Hawkman, Tarzan, Tintin and Asterix. Here are a few examples I particularly liked from the latest minimlist theme…
