Captain America & Bucky #620 Preview
Link: http://marvel.com/news/story/16183/tuesday_qa_marc_andreyko

I feel bad, I feel like I've abandoned a long standing friend. I didn't even know that Captain America was changing it's name to Captain America & Bucky, I left the book disillusioned and disinterested after the Retrun of Capatin America storyline. Now this press release lands on my desk and suddenly I'm back, interested and ready to go another 12 rounds with Cap's plucky but deadly sidekick. You see, that's the draw for me, Bucky. Ed Brubaker has revived the character of Bucky into someone I not only care about but I'm infinitely interested in his retconned backstory, even though it's all history or not as the case may be. Brubaker is skilled in telling Bucky's history in such a way that it not only informs how we see the character now but also adds darker layers to a hero who not only stands next to Cap, he was Cap.
Age of X teaser #5 - The Final Image
Drum roll...here it is...what you've all been waiting for, the final complete image of the Age of X teaser.
Age of X teaser #4
I've come to the conclusion that I do not liked to be teased, titillated maybe, teased never. Is there a difference? Answers on a postcard please.
Age of X teaser #3

Don't know about you guys but I'm sick of Age of X already. Never been one to give up though so here we are cracking on with this third teaser, which I thought the gods would allow to be the final one but no, we've got at least another couple of days of this.
Age of X teaser #2
I was going to show each one of these Age of X teasers after yesterday's first one because they've tricked me into believing this going to be as good as Age of Apocalypse. Don't believe the hype, yo!
Age of X Teaser#1
So Age of X has been billed as this generation's Age of Apocalypse. Now two things happened when I heard that:
1) I pissed my pants with joy!
2) Then my brain caught up and I called bullshit!
Uncanny X-Force #2 - PREVIEW

Came home drunk from the pub last week and so eager was I to get into Uncanny X-Force #1 I intoxicato-read it and loved it. Still haven't gone back sober just in case it's not as good as I remember, may try to do the whole series drunk, it's the future I tells ya!
Anyway, enough of my drunken antics check out this preview of Uncanny X-Force #2:

James Cameron's Avatar preview

The story of James Cameron's Avatar begins way back in 1994 when he wrote a spec script for a film based on all the sci-fi books he read as a kid. As if that in itself wasn't a big enough feat he wanted this flick to be a step forward in technological film making using, amongst other technilogical advances digital actors and 3D filming. Last night myself and fellow Sidekickcast host; Dan, were treated to a fifteen minute preview of Avatar, this is what we saw:
People were queing out the door and there was a buzz of excitement passing from person to person as the cinema attendent handed out the 3D specs we would need to watch the preview. We took our seats and waited, there was a pretty poor introduction by the cinema manager and some photo's taken by a Fox Studios representative and then the lights went down. Before getting into the action, director James Cameron chose to introduce the preview by setting the scene; Jake Sully a disabled former marine arrives on the distant earth colony of Pandora, a moon world full of indigenous extraterrestrial life including the sentient warrior race the Na'vi.
The first scene sets up the story showing us the a marine security chief with a bad ass half face claw scar explaining the deadly terrain and life that exists on the planet. We then meet Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) placing Jake (Sam Worthington) into the device that is going to allow him to control his Avatar body; a human Na'vi hybrid body that allows humans to exist in the harsh environments of Pandora. At this point i's all been very run of the mill sci-fi movie stuff, nothing wrong with that but when you're seeing a preview like this you can't help but think 'come on then impress me'. Mr Cameron was then happy to oblige.
Can't wait for Captain America Reborn? Marvel have a sneak peek for you.
