Pimping: Long Live The Immortals
When I saw the first trailer for The Immortals, I did actually laugh out loud, pretty rude considering I was in the cinema at the time. This second trailer really isn't helping things, will it be long live the Immortals or The Immortals who? May be worth checking just to see how much of a man of steel Henry Cavill really is.

Things have been hectic.
Christmas is coming, my wallet is getting light,
my blog has been neglected and no end is yet in sight.
I'm off to that there London for wedding day fun and Christmas cheer,
so enjoy this Whiplash poster whilst I drown in bridemaids and beer.

First look at Mickey Rourke in Iron Man 2
Link: http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2009-06-09-ironman2-rourke_N.htm
Iron Man 2 has to be one of the most anticipated film for the next year so it's no surprise that the geek masses have almost exploded with glee over this first look at Mickey Rourke as Iron Man villain Whiplash.

Looks like he's sporting some Stark tech in the form of an ARC heart piece which he uses to power his bad-ass whips. Supposedly he get's more of an armoured suit later on in the movie making look more like the basterised version of the russian villain Crimson Dynamo that he truly is. You see in their infinite wisdom Marvel have combined Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo into one charater and Mickey Rourke is that man. Normally this would really bother me but I have nothing but 100% faith in director Jon Favreau and if it services the story then what the hell.
Iron Man 2 is released 7 May 2010 Directed by Jon Favreau and once again starring Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Don Cheadle as James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer.
Marvel Studios announces delays for Thor, Captain America and The Avengers movies
So do you want the good news or the bad news? Let's give you the bad news first so we can go out on a high; the previously announced schedule of Marvel studios movies has been drastically changed with Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and the Avengers movies all being pushed back. The good news is Spider-Man 4 has been given a 6th May 2011 release date and Iron Man 2 keeps it 7th May 2010, of course whether any of this is 'good' or 'bad' news depends on your point of view.

Those changes in full:
Thor moves from 16 July, 2010 to 17 June, 2011.
The Avengers moves from 15 July, 2011 to 4 May, 2012.
Captain America moves from 6 May, 2011 to 22 July, 2011.
With any luck the delays are story driven rather than marketing and distribution concerns, I wouldn't like to second guess Marvel's reasoning but hopefully they are trying to link the Thor and Captain America movies a little more as they are now scheduled to hit just one month apart. Of course it could simply be that Kenneth Branagh requires more time to fully develop his Thor picture or more cash and momentum is needed to make the Avengers movie as absolutely kick ass as I pray it will be. In other Marvel movie news Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johanson were both confirmed this week for appearances in Iron Man 2, can you say Crimson Dynamo and Black Widow?! Just been reliably informed by forum member MangoFoxtrot that Mickey Rourke will be playing Whiplash in next year's Iron Man 2, good work sir.
