The Thrill Electric is a new motion comic set in Victorian England concerning itself with the scientific electric jet-set of the era, it'll be out in October...possibly through 4Eductaion, Channel 4's educational arm...website...sideshow. However, visitors to the MCM Expo London Comic Con will get an exclusive sneak peek at this amazing-looking series at next month’s show.

Okay, so that intro was maybe a little dramatic but how else would you like to hear that the Green Lantern movie will be this year's London MCM Expo sponsors? Does this top any KAPOW related movie related announcements? Probably not, but it's a bloody good start and it's good to see MCM getting the recognition from Hollywood it deserves.

27-29 MAY – EXCEL LONDON – ROYAL VICTORIA DOCK

Now there are two comic book awards ceremonies (The Eagle Awards and the Stan Lee Awards whatever they are?;-))in the UK it's even more important that if you wish to continue to support the Eagle Awards you get your ass over to the site and get your nominations in. The new nominations launch Friday 4th February and run until 7th March, I'll be posting my nominations on this very site so you can all see just how shallow and badly read I truly am.
The top five nominations in each section will then be verified and voting gets underway on 14th March – let us know who you want to see honoured on the big night of 27th May at the London MCM Expo by picking your favourites of 2010.

It seems, to mark their tenth anniversary MCM Expo are branding themselves as London's Comic Con. Absolutely nothing to do with KAPOW! Comic Con from Mark Millar also set to launch in London next year and him failing to even acknowledge the existence of MCM. Looks lik this could get heated, in a pretty lame war of PR attrition kind of way. There's also something bout a competition to go to the premiere of Paul or something.

Syfy Teams Up With MCM Expo

Syfy has been confirmed as a major sponsor of this month’s London MCM Expo, held at Excel on 29-31 October, show organisers have announced.

Syfy is to sponsor the 1,000-seat MCM Expo Theatre and the main show walkways, while cast and crew panels for hit SyFy shows A Town Called Eureka, Warehouse 13 and Haven will also be hosted in association with the popular television channel.
