Fox Foolishly Pass on Locke & Key

Maybe Fox passed because all they do is stand around in the snow?!

Just a quick one, according to Entertainment Weekly, Fox have passed on the pilot of supernatural thriller, Locke & Key. Obviously not having seen the actual pilot it may turn out that it isn't any good but judging on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's source material and the level of support for a TV version this seems like a foolish move from Fox.

Warner Bros lining up Vertigo's The Sandman

It seems strange that Warner Bros. TV would be looking to replace their teen angst ridden Superman TV show; Smallville which is just about to go into it's final season with another show based on a comic book; Sandman. It's not starnge that they're based on comic boks but rather that they're so far apart in terms of style, content and approach but according to THR's heatvision blog that's exactly what they're doing.

Joe Hill's Locke and Key

According to Vulture Joe Hill and Gariel Rodriguez's superb horror book Locke and Key will no longer be making it's way to the big screen but instead will get a TV adaptation. No just any TV show either, this one will be brought to you by Steven Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Josh Friedman. That's the father of Indiana Jones , E.T. and Jaws teaming up with the producers/writers of Fringe and Star Trek with a little Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles thrown in for good measure.
