Frank Miller's Holy Terror Trailer

Batman vs Al Qaeda. Simple idea, quite possibly completely inappropriate. So if you're Frank Miller and you want to tell this story what do you do? Well, you go see some of your film studio buddies who just happen to be moving into the comic book business and pimp the idea to them, albeit with a completely new and different hero to Batman. Meet The Fixer in Frank Miller and Legendary Comics' Holy Terror:
Bob Schreck named EIC at newly formed Legendary Comics

Legendary Pictures has appointed veteran comic book editor Bob Schreck to the role of Editor-in-Chief of the newly-formed Legendary Comics. Schreck joins Legendary Comics from IDW Publishing, and his appointment marks the launch of the new division dedicated to publishing original graphic novels. Legendary Pictures have had much success with genre films like The Dark Knight, Superman Returns, 300, The Watchmen and The Clash of the Titans as well as recent success with The Hangover, Inception and The Town.
Could this be the future for the comic industry? We've known for a long time now that certain comics are being created with movie adaptations clearly in mind but now it seems that Hollywood are getting wise. With the big two essentially being owned by even bigger studios and many other comic book companies forming very close ties to studios, are comics essentially becoming promotional material for the next big blockbuster, time will tell if this is the new business model in comics.
