THIS REVIEW COMES TO YOU COURTESY OF THE EVERYTHING COMES BACK TO 2000AD BLOG, SHOW THE LOVE YO
Ah, the 90’s. The time when we all bought Image Comics and now are so ashamed about it we rip on Rob Liefeld like he held up our favourite pet and said “Buy my books or Tiddles gets it”. Most comics of the 90’s get a bad rep and 2000AD is no exception. As a result this book was of particular interest to me having missed out on that entire decades worth of Thrill Power. Was it as bad as people made out? Was Mark Millar’s Dredd going to make me go home and burn my Old Man Logan hardback? Good questions.
Everything Comes Back To 2000AD E59 : It’s the BOMB, yo!
I am a man of simple pleasures, all I need is a cold beer, the warm embrace of a beautiful girl and the opportunity to shoehorn myself into every UK comic book podcast out there. Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to join Rich McAuliffe on the Everything Comes Back to 2000AD podcast and of course I jumped at the chance. I was supposed to be there to give my opinion on 2000AD jumping on points prog 1740 and 1741, I actually ended up talking more about nazis and picking up chicks. Good times.
Mike's Library Hot Picks: Victorian Undead & Justice

Welcome watchers of illusion, to the castle of confusion, stay with us now for this is the time of adventure, I Tregar offer this challenge, beyond that portal lies the dungeon of deceit…..so enter, Stranger, don the helmet of justice…..sorry that’s the beginning to Knightmare not my reviews. Right what am I recommending this week, well, I have three books although two are parts one and two of the same story.
First up is a great book from Wildstorm comics, written by Ian Edgington (Wolverine: Knights of Terra, Torchwood Rift War). The book is illustrated by Davide Fabbri (Starship Troopers, Star Wars) and supported by Tom Mandrake (Great name) (New Mutants 1st series, The Spectre). The book in question is entitled “Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes Vs Zombies”.
Bristol Comic Expo 2011 - "What to do?"

Although Cardiff is my hometown and we now have our very own comic convention, I have to admit that a substantial part of my heart will always belong to Bristol International Comic Expo. It was the first 'proper' comic convention I ever went to (only crappy comic book markets before Bristol), where The Sidekickcast did our first interview with creators and hosted our first ever panel, not to mention all the friends we've made whilst there. This year we're probably only going to be able to make it for the Saturday (14th May) so I thought I'd give you a quick rundown of the things we'll be going to see, what we think looks good and where you can find us during the day...that one is pretty easy actually, we'll be at the bar.

Some unrelated Jock stories *UPDATED*
Link: http://www.4twenty.co.uk/

So currently I'm reading Mega City Undercover collected from Judge Dredd: Megazine. The first half of the book is about an undercover Judge called Lenny Zero, it's written by Andy Diggle and art from Jock, so yeah it's The Losers team and you can really see the inception of that book in their Lenny Zero stories.
Judge Dredd is Go?

So according to Deadline the long propsed Dredd movie is making some headway in preparation to punted at Cannes. The Alex Garland scripted movie now has a director attached in the form of Pete Travis, director of Vantage Point and a load of TV stuff. They want to make the movie for around the $50million mark which will be financed by Andrew Macdonald’s DNA Films in a deal with India-based Reliance Big Entertainment and IM Global.
I have a question: Does anybody know if this film is Live Action or CGI or a strong mixture of both with digital backgrounds but real peeps like Sin City? From what I've read we know it'll be 3D but that's all I can see. Surely to make an effective live action Dredd, in 3D, with a fully realized Mega City One they'd need a hell of a lot more cash than $50 million?! I could be wrong, usually I am, but wouldn't it be a better fit if this were a digital film. It could very well be completely digital I just can't find any info on it.
