Arkham City: Two-Face & The Collector's Edition *Updated with Pictures*

by Gavin Jones Email

Arkham City; A tale of two faces

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" - Clint Eastwood

That's what Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent appears to be saying to us in this new promo shot from the sequel to Rocksteady's 2009 (was it really that long ago?) smash hit Arkham Asylum; Arkaham City.

Cosplay UK Mania at MCM Expo 2010

by @Neon_Lynx Email

Link: http://www.londonexpo.com/

I had an absolutely great time at the MCM Expo 2010. One of the things that really made it, other than the things discussed by Gavin here, was the Cosplayers. They were an absolutely permanent fixture of the 3 day event, so much so that when on the way back from the Expo I found it weird to look around and not see them brightening up people's days.

So hat's off to all of the Cosplayers that made it to MCM Expo 2010. I didn't manage to make it to the Euro Cosplay finals like I'd wanted to but these folk certainly made up for it. The love and attention to detail that went into these guys' and gals' costumes really needed to be seen first hand to be believed, I just hope that these pics I snapped whilst wandering around do them justice.

If you see yourself here, post a comment at the end - it'd be great to hear from you and also the perfect opportunity for you to inform me that you are in fact Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach and not Aunt May from Spiderman.

Ladies and gents I present to you, and in no particular order, the Cosplayers of MCM Expo 2010!

Batman Arkham City

Each time I think about Batman Arkham City, I always end up feeling glum because it's not out until Autumn 2011... But before that glum feeling sets in I have the euphoria of excitement that always washes over me following the reveal of details for this game.

The latest on the grapevine comes from interviews in Official Playstation Magazine UK and PSM3 magazine where Sefton Hill, co-founder of Rocksteady, has been shooting his mouth off...

Batman Arkham City

Autumn 2011 is miles away. And it feels even further away after you've seen the screenshots that follow, allegedly from Rocksteady's super-sequel, Batman: Arkham City.

Interweb sources are claiming that the pics have come from this Flickr account. However, link through to that accounts and all you get now is the picture that we kicked off with above... The game is afoot!

Anyways, source aside, feast your eyes on the 20 glorious shots when you click through to read more.

President Joker

by Gavin Jones Email

Pretty cool image yeah? But is it racist? The poster has been popping up all over the place on the net but can also be seen as fly posters all over LA and other US cities according to The Telegraph. Debate has been sparked with many branding the image as racist as it depicts Obama as a reverse Black and White minstrel with socialism branded beneath the image. This is obviously an attack on his extensive and expensive healthcare reform but I don't think it's racist. He's being depicted as the Joker so if you want to say they're saying he's crazy or having a laugh then fair shout but I think if the as yet unknown creator and distributor of this image wanted to be racist they'd be alot less subtle. He isn't in reverse Black and White minstrel make-up, he's in Heath Ledger Joker makeup, a clear distinction. I find it ridiculous that people are telling you this image is racist without knowing the intention of the creator or the impact it's had on the sibject. Is President Obama even bothered by this? The man is a well known comic book fan, making cameos in comics from Marvel to Dynamite so I reckon he'd get a kick out of looking like the Joker even if it is a blatant attack on his policies.
