GONZO Blast Special! Modern Warfare 3 News Blow-out! Trailer!! Pre-Order!!! Spoilers!!!!
The worst kept secret in gaming is out of the bag... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been confirmed by Activision for release on November 8, 2011.
Mark the date on your calender and watch then watch the announcement trailer above...
GONZO Blast Special! SOULCALIBUR V Announced!

Stand by Sidekicks... The game announcement I have been waiting ages for has arrived! Soulcalibur V is on its way! Time to brush up on the exquisite art of the samurai sword!
The premiere fighting game, the Soulcalibur series launched with Soul Blade (or Soul Edge in other territories) waaaaay back on the original PlayStation in 1996. The title's unique selling point was the weapons used by the characters to beat the shinola out of each other - made a change from getting bloodied knuckles!
Details are very thin on the ground but, in famous Sidekick fashion, here's a round-up... And the teaser trailer!
GONZO Blast! Videogame News Round-Up 29/04/11 to 05/05/11
Back to business as usual following last week's Royal Wedding special, with a round-up of the week's happenings in short bursts. And what a week! For the full rules of GONZO Blast go here.
This week we've got a phoenix-like MMO, more famous Gameboys and a whole load on the Playstation Network hack, disruption, failure or whatever you want to call it.
This week's blast is brought to you by those kind people at Gamesradar, Xboxer 360, Wii Chat and BBC Technology News.
Anything can happen in the next half hour!
GONZO Blast Special! The Alternative Royal Wedding

It's becoming a global media event and we're a global media outlet - what did you expect? Also, the holiday weekend last weekend and the holiday weekend this weekend mean that I'm a bit strapped for time so there you have it!
As Prince William and Kate Middleton prepare to tie the knot at Westminster Abbey, we here at the Sidekick Blog make our way to a secluded corner of the garden party, take off our shoes and socks, losen our dickie bows, dip our feet in the water feature, order some more cocktails and reminisce about great weddings of yore.
That involved comic book characters. And perhaps didn't attract quite somuch world wide attention.
They're not really in order of preference, lavishnes or anything like that, they're just weddings. So grab your confetti, dust off your morning suit and grab a box of tissues. For drying your eyes, dirty!!
GONZO Blast! Videogame News Round-Up 15/04/11 to 21/04/11

Ok news-hounds! Here it is... This week's GONZO Blast! Go here for the rules. The first one of which is to, of course, not talk about GONZO Blast.
A quiter one this week in terms of volume, but there are some pearls in here... Wii 2, more cyber-terror and Michael Jackson's Gameboy.
Many thanks to Kotaku (with some added Game Informer), Nintendo Wolrd Report, Team Xbox, Playstation Universe and Foo Fighters - whilst they didn't contribute any news, they did contribute a great album, Wasting Light, to write this post too. I love you Dave!!

GONZO Blast! Videogame News Round-Ups

Welcome, Sidekicks, to a new feature for the Sidekickcast...
GONZO Blast is a weekly (yeah, sure!) update on big news stories in the world of videogames. The idea is that you come here, read a headline and news snippet and then, when you inevitably something you are interested in, you Google the frak out of that sonovabitch!
The point is that GONZO Blast is just like bumping into your well informed pal who takes a few seconds to tell you a bunch of news - if you're interested, you enquire! If you're not, you smile politely, look at your watch and back slowly towards the door...
Here's how it'll pan out...
One To Watch... L.A. Noire... NEW TRAILER AND DETAILS!
Link: http://www.rockstargames.com/lanoire

After the climax of my epic three-part review of 2010 (count 'em! 1... 2... 3...!) I thought it would be a great time to think about the future.
Due for release on 17 May 2011 in North America and 20 May 2011 in Eurpoe (apologies to all other territories!) and featured on this very blog previously, ladies and gentleman may I present to you, for a bit more of your viewing pleasure, L.A. Noire.
This year I have been mostly playing... Part 3

Ladies and gentlemen! You join me at a momentous time! 2010 is officially over! I had hoped to get this out near enough to Chinese New Year on 3rd February so as to still give it some sort of validity but even that is now a speck in the distance... But don't fret! The Oscars practically reviews last year's movies and that was only on the other night so here is the last part of my Oscars - part 3 of this spectacular review of 2010 that will finally close the book on my gaming year.
My gaming year based on a January to December affair. Not the Chinese calendar or the Oscar year. I'm just using those to not feel so silly.
Anyways! In the glorious tradition established in part 1 and part 2, stand by for a recount of victories and defeats, highs and lows, sex and violence and rock and roll. Finally, the rock and roll!
So dive right in baby - I'll love ya...
