According to Deadline (who are usually fairly reliable) James Mangold is the chosen director for Hugh Jackman's second solo outing as the X-Men's Wolverine. Mangold has pretty good form as far as I'm concerned having previously directed Cop Land, Girl Interrupted, Identity and 3:10 to Yuma, I even surprisingly enjoyed his Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz vehicle, Knight and Day.

Famous red head (apparently) Emma Stone will be playing Gwen Stacy in the new Spider-Man reboot movie so ‘everybody’ is saying. ‘Everybody’ seems to be making a big deal of the fact that she is actually a natural blonde so this is all ok and explains why ‘everybody’ actually thought she was going to be cast as Mary Jane Watson. I would like to know who has leaked this knowledge that she is a natural blonde and how did they find out? Surely that’s the real story? Just me that’s a perv then?

I have long been one of those naysayers of the prospect of a movie adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Preacher, I’ve even blogged about it. I’ve always believed that any Preacher movie just would not and could not do the story and the characters any justice...until now. The latest name to be thrown around for the director’s gig on the flick is none other than Darren Aronofsky according to Newsarama. The guy that brought us Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler and Pi is now supposedly the main man on Preacher. Wow.
