Dexter's Half Dozen Signing at Cardiff's Comic Guru
Link: http://www.thecomicguru.co.uk/

If you don't know about Dexter's Half Dozen by now then you clearly haven't been paying attention, I am a super-fan of this independent comic book. Don't believe me? Well you can hear me loving issue #4 here and interviewing the creators Jamie Lambert and David Clifford here. So now you know, you'd be foolish to miss an opportunity to meet the guys in person at the Comic Guru on Saturday 24th October where from 12 pm they'll be signing copies of all the released issues so far #1-6.

From the Guru himself:
'Set in the mist of the Second World War, the story follows a crack team of soldiers who have been tasked with preventing the Nazi’s manipulation of the occult for their own nefarious purposes. The series already has a loyal following and with a trade paperback in the works this is an ideal time to get in with the series.'
Stiffs/The Pride Signing at Cardiff's Comic Guru

Busy this Saturday 20th August? No? Then get yourself down to Cardiff's Comic Guru from 2pm for another exclusive creator signing. The writers of Stiffs and The Pride, Drew Davies, PJ Montgomery and Joe Glass will be signing copies of their preview flip book, that's two comics for the price of one! If the names sound familiar it's because all three also contribute to this very blog and PJ has reliably informed me that they only have 30 issues of the book left so to avoid disappointment I'd get down there early. No doubt I'll also be there, making a nuisance of myself and making people hold up #TeamBatman signs.

You wait for some interesting local comic buzz for ages and then two lots come at once, just like buses...or so I'm told, haven't caught a bus in years, I prefer my pimped out Raptor for transportation. Pete Rogers, creator and writer of new Markosia release; The Interactives will be at Cardiff's Comic Guru on Saturday 6th August to launch the book.
Back to the Comic Book Shop - Return of the Comic Guru

Nearly two months of being without a comic shop is hard on someone like me, especially when you've just started a comics culture blog and podcast. So you can imagine my relief when a letter dropped through my door telling me that my local shop Cardiff's Comic Guru was reopening today @ a new location. Not only that but Kristian Barry (store owner aka 'The Guru' or 'Comic Book Guy' by the Sidekicks) was offering his loyal customers 50% off anythin in the store at the relaunch and an increased 20% discount for life on standing orders, I'm not proud to say tears of relief and joy were shed.
