WARNING HERE BE SPOILERS!
Ultimate Peter Parker is dead so that means we're getting a new Ultimate Spider-Man and he goes by the name of...

This week we've got a phoenix-like MMO, more famous Gameboys and a whole load on the Playstation Network hack, disruption, failure or whatever you want to call it.
This week's blast is brought to you by those kind people at Gamesradar, Xboxer 360, Wii Chat and BBC Technology News.
Anything can happen in the next half hour!
Something Silly for Sunday # 92 - Wolverine is in... [UPDATED]

It started off as a joke, then it became self-referential, then it became the target of fan ire and now it's on the verge of eating itself... Just how many comics is Wolverine in?
From the way people go on about it (including us!), you may be surprised at the answer. Or I may just be being a little naive... I've only counted regular titles and not one-shots and/or guest appearances but click through for the answer and some cool artwork!
New Ultimate Spidey!

Ultimate Spider-Man is dead...long live Ultimate Spider-Man!
I have avoided like the plague any spoilers for The Death of Ultimate Spider-Man, not because it's a book I read or a story I'm particularly interested in but because if I know what happens I am bound to spoil it for someone that does not. With that in mind, if you do not want to see what the New Ultimate Spider-Man will look like then do not go past the jump.
Death of Superman Spider-Man poly bags
Don't know about you guys but I haven't been following the Death of Spider-Man (Ultimate universe kids, don't get too flappy just yet!), not even sure if it's actually started but what I do know is that Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #160 comes in a very cheeky poly bag. This is to keep it from prying eyes/make it a collector's item/take the piss out of DC.
Moon Knight #1 Preview & a whole lot more!

Moon Knight...not a character I've ever really considered, cared about or read...until now. Marvel is relaunching the character as part of it's Big Shots Initiative with Brian Michael Bendis writing and Alex Maleev on art, need I remind you that this is the team that brought us some of the best Daredevil stories that have ever graced the printed page?
Spider-Woman: Agent of SWORD on DVD
I watched a little bit of the Bendis and Maleev Spider-Woman motion comic, I wasn't impressed. I guess I just don't like motion comics, they're like the bastard love child of comics and animation but act more like the ungrateful ginger step-child of the middle-aged single mum you're banging. Too much? Maybe a little too much.
Avengers 12.1 Preview & Discussion

Of all the Avengers titles out there, Avengers, New and Secret, the adjectiveless one is easily my favourite. This Avengers title feels old school, it's filled with big stories that span time and space, it is worthy of calling itself an Avengers book.
Spot The Hero: Avengers #4 Cover by John Romita Jr

I thought I'd play a little game with this pretty sweet JRJ cover to Avengers #4, a little spot the hero. Now this is not an exhaustive list because there are guys in there I either don't recognise or I'm sure I've missed. Don't click on Read More until you've played yourself and see how many more you get than me. CLICK IMAGE TO EMBIGGEN
I am an Avenger, who isn't?!

So after the Siege is over and the gangs all back together again we will have the Heroic Age from Marvel. Apparently all the heroes will be heroes again and the darkness of Civil War and Dark Reign will be but a distant memory. Well thank Christ for that because quite frankly I've had enough of there being like twenty Avengers teams and not knowing who's a good guy and who 's a bad guy, I'm a simple man looking for simple pleasures. All this change of status quo is the exact reason I jumped off the Avengers book in the first place, as far as I'm concerned the Avengers should be about iconic characters getting together to knock some heads together and should be allowed to do it's own stories without being affected by every single fortnightly event that Marvel puts out.
At the forefront of this movement is the relaunch of The Avengers title now without the 'New' attachment and with an all new lineup. Hang on, above and below are two of the released teaser images for this relaunch showing Captain America and Spider-Woman respectively, aren't they both already in the Avengers?! Bold new direction you're taking there. The writer of this new book, oh it's Brian Michael Bendis, the same guy that's been writing it for a dog's age, I actually love Bendis but I'm trying to make a point here. Ok there is a new artist and it is John Romita Jr. so maybe you aren't all bad Marvel but the next teaser image we get better be somebody that isn't already in the lineup or Thor or Iron Man or Spider-Man because we already bloody know, that's not a teaser it's just a fact.
