Link: http://www.pulpthemovie.com/

If you were at British Interntional Comics Show in Birmingham last year you'll be well aware that a movie was being filmed there and took over about half the convention for the weekend, that film was Pulp. As part of the viral marketing campaign for the movie, Pulp have teamed up with Asylum put together this series of interviews asking comic fans, conventiton goers and celebrity geeks various geeky questions, this one deals with what superpower would you have? Look out for the patron saint of geeks in Blighty, Jonathan Ross and those two bastions of the British Comic book scene, Tony Lee and Dan Boultwood.
Birmingham Comic Con 2011: Guests Announced: Mark Millar, Dave Gibbons and More

I was gutted not to see Birmingham International Comic Show (BICS) on the con calendar this year, it was the second con I ever went to and anyone that saw my pre-Bristol Expo post, will know that I get ridiculously sentimental about this kind of deal. We knew that the convention was going to be replaced by a smaller more intimate creator driven event but until now we didn't know who was going to be there. This press release should clear that all up with some impressive and surprising creators already attached:

Comic Book Outsiders #91 with added Sidekick

The unintended Sidekickcast world tour of podcasts continues as this week the Comic Book Outsiders were kind enough to open up their doors to little old me. A good time was had and Steve made me feel so welcome, even adapting their Challenge segment to make me feel more at home. Here's what they have to say about it:
In this episode Scott is away so Steve is joined by Gavin Jones, one half of The Sidekick Cast, a fantastic UK comics podcast. Before they get into the news, there is a quick reminder about the book club and current selection which is Eastern Standard Tribe by Corey Doctorow. We'll be recording the next episode in two weeks and will be discussing the book, so there is still time to pick up a copy of the book for free from Corey's website in various document formats, or you can download it as an audio book, read by Corey Doctorow. Email your comments to Scott or Steve or post your feedback on the book on our forum. Also send us your suggestions for the next book club selection.
The New A-Team and BICS 2009
Link: http://www.thecomicsshow.co.uk/

According to nearly everyone on the net Liam Neeson will be playing John "Hannibal" Smith in the new A-Team film and he could be accompanied by star of the recent release The Hangover's Bradley Cooper as the one and only Face. I enjoyed Neeson in the recent Taken which showed he's still got the chops to be a fine action star, no word on Murdock yet but he's probably being broken out of some non-descript mental asylum by B.A. as I type this.
In other news why not take a look at the new British International Comics Show (BICS)website with it's flashy redesign in anticipation of this year's show in October.
