So what we have here is Vaughn from Community, Scott Pilgrim's girlfriend and a young Owen Lars going up against John Carpenter's Thing [insert your own cock joke here]. Big fan of the original and unlike many of the other big fans I have no problem with this prequel/reboot, it looks sufficiently Thing-ish and does tell the story of the original Norwegian Arctic team. Will we see Kurt Russel though? Maybe in a post-credits Marvel Studios style epilogue scene? Let's not forget people, Ronald D. Frakkin' Moore has a screenplay writing credit on this one. The film is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. but there's no sign of a UK release date yet, think October but as always keep 'em peeled Sidekicks.
