Fox Foolishly Pass on Locke & Key

Just a quick one, according to Entertainment Weekly, Fox have passed on the pilot of supernatural thriller, Locke & Key. Obviously not having seen the actual pilot it may turn out that it isn't any good but judging on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's source material and the level of support for a TV version this seems like a foolish move from Fox.

Over on Bleeding Cool, one of their readers who had actually seen the pilot described it as "Beautiful And Magical", now that sounds like something I'd like to see. I'm currently reading Locke & Key: Crown of Shadows, the third installment in the series and I have been blown away by just how engaging the story and characters are. Fox could've had a The Walking Dead on their hands, with fan favourite Fringe soon moving into it's fourth and surely final season they could've done with another genre show to placate their viewers. Here's hoping some other more genre friendly network picks up the show, fingers crossed for AMC (thanks to Comic Book Outsiders' Steve for that suggestion).
