Morrison Out and Tomasi In: Batman and Robin

So from November Grant Morrison will no longer be writing Batman and Robin, that honour will belong to Peter Tomasi with art by Pat Gleason. I don’t really know how I feel about this to be honest with you, Morrison is such an acquired taste that any book he writes, he very much makes his own and somebody else writing B&R just won’t be the same book.
Follow up:
Tomasi has got form, I really enjoyed his stuff on Batman and the Outsiders, he is used to writing Dick Grayson with his work on Nightwing (will Dick still be Bats at this point? I hope so) and his work on Green Lantern Corps has been pretty sweet but he’s a completely differnt kind of writer to Morrison. It’s cool that Patrick Gleason will be the regular artist and that the book will actually have a dedicated regular artist but I almost think this may be waste of Gleason’s talents. He’s so accomplished at drawing big action scenes with many characters it seems a shame to put him on a book that generally follows just a Dynamic Duo, however, the man does deserve a rest from drawing hundreds of weird looking aliens so we can’t be too hard on him.
I don’t think I’ll stop getting the book when Tomasi takes over, I just don’t think it’ll be the same book. I’ll give it the first story arc and we’ll see where we are then. Hopefully I’ll love this book and the new Multiverse thing Morrison will be doing instead of B&R, so then I’ll have two cool DC books to bang on about on The Sidekickcast.
