Because of course I went to North Carolina and hit the con big time, or maybe I've just trawled through the net and picked out the bits I found most interesting, believe whatever helps you sleep easier.

Spinning out of New Avengers is a new Brother Voodoo ongoing series Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural as written by Rick Remender. Anyone that listens to the Sidekickcast will know Remender is a particular favourite of ours especially his FEAR Agent, Gigantic and Punisher runs so this new series is definitely one to watch. No news on the artist yet but Remender generally tends to attract fantastic artists.

The Dark Reign: The List is coming up which will showcase Norman Osborn (or Nosborne as we've taken to calling him) taking on members of the Marvel Universe. The one-shots and their creators are as so:

I particularly like how all these titles are being written by the writers who currently work on the main series of these books, could this mean serious repurcutions from whatever happens in Dark Reign: The List?!

After their success with other Disney licenses The Incredibles and The Muppets Boom! Studios have now acquired the rights to produce Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck comics, for kids innit.

Longbox Digital Comics was unveiled as an itunes for digital comic books. Top Cow and BOOM! Studios are the first two publishers to be confirmed to sign up to the new endeavour with download prices starting @ 99cents. It's hoped that all the publishers will jump on board providing one platfoprm for regular digital comics including a subscription service. I'm still waiting for one of these systems to take off in a big way and I have high hopes for this new system, it certainly looks pretty sweet and should be with us by October.
