I'm sure by now everyone has heard that Geoff Johns writer of Green Lantern, JSA, Action Comics and all around saviour of DC Comics has written an episode of Warner Brother's Smallville which features the Legion of Superheroes. I gave up on Smallville about two series ago and don't really miss it if I'm honest but this has me intrigued. The chance to see Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy on the screen is just too good to miss. So check out this trailer for the episode in question and enjoy.

The Legion of Superheroes are are a superhero team from the 30th and 31st centuries (1000 years from the present), but have recurring connections via time travel with the present. In particular their formation and codes of conduct were inspired by the actions of our very own Superman.
The team was closely associated with the original Superboy and was first portrayed as a group of time travelers who frequently visited (or were visited by) the young hero destined to become Superman.

Being a long time Smallville fan thru good times and bad, am relishing the darker trail it is now taking. As Clark (Kal-El) is beginning to realise were his destiny lies, meeting new foes and allies with powers that truly test his own, has taken this series to another dimension, more in keeping with what it should have done two series back. So I say, bring it on, 31st century crusaders...I cant wait !
